Scandinavian charm in Northern Bucharest

Four bright rooms in pure Danish fashion

Soft colour balances, a strong focus on functionality and seamless transitions between the rooms are some of the directions that the SDH interior designer followed in furnishing and decorating these 4 rooms and the intermediary spaces.

The apartment is set in a calm and quiet part of northern Bucharest, in the High Residence housing complex. The building is surrounded by lots of green plots, so the natural finishing touches and the large terrace create a beautiful connection between the indoors and the outdoors. The authentic woodwork and the flooding natural light clicked with the architect’s plan to create a warm, relaxing Nordic interior. By using the light and enhancing it through textile decorations, spectacular lamps and pendants and colour accents, the designer illustrated the well-known consistency of Scandinavian design.

In order to make a smooth and elegant transition from the living room to the open kitchen, a dining area was set up. This space is furnished and accessorized according to the living room, both colour and material-wise. The SDH interior designer matched pieces of furniture in matte white and natural finishes and used contrasting pieces like the sofa or the bedroom armchair to make an impact. Glossy metallic decorations in warm copper tones were used to complete and glam up the rooms discretely.

The gallery below shows real pictures of the the 4 room apartment, completely furnished and decorated with design pieces from the SDH portfolio.
